Diadynamic currents (DD) - also known as Bernard currents. They are divided into several types, differing in frequency and intensity of alternating current. They improve blood circulation and tissue nutrition, reduce oedema and, depending on the current used, cause an increase or decrease in muscle tension. Indications: spinal pain syndromes, rheumatic diseases, neuralgia, post-traumatic conditions, muscular atrophy, hemiplegia, post-traumatic oedema, frostbite. Contraindications: implanted pacemakers, purulent skin lesions, acute inflammations in the treatment area, tumour diseases, haemorrhages, febrile states.
Interference currents (Nemec) - these are medium frequency currents modulated in amplitude with low frequency. Through the rhythmically changing frequency, they act on skeletal muscle contractions, stimulate muscles to contract (improve peripheral circulation), have an analgesic effect, improve tissue nutrition processes and metabolism. Indications: pain syndromes, oedema, incontinence, disorders of superficial and deep circulation, osteoarthritis, sciatica, shoulder pain, intercostal neuralgia. Contraindications: implanted pacemaker, purulent skin lesions, acute inflammations in the area of application of the treatment, tumour diseases, bleeding, haemorrhages, febrile states.
Tens - transcutaneous nerve stimulation with low-frequency currents. TENS electrostimulation is a clinically proven, non-invasive, non-pharmacological pain relief therapy. It is widely used for the relief of both chronic and acute pain. Indications: post-operative pain, discitis, headaches, pain in rheumatic diseases, neuropathies, skin ulcers, wounds, swellings. Contraindications: implanted pacemaker, severe arrhythmia, epilepsy, cancer, pregnancy, acute inflammation in the treatment area, purulent skin lesions.
Trebert currents- this is an ultra-stimulus current with a strong analgesic effect. It induces a strong muscular tremor, the effect of which is muscle relaxation. This treatment is also called stimulus current massage. Thanks to the action of Trebert currents on the nervous system, an improvement in blood supply and tissue nutrition is obtained by means of reflexes, also in cases of disorders of peripheral circulation. The procedure is used in the treatment of: neuralgia, ischaemic syndromes of the limbs, support in the treatment of wounds that are difficult to heal.
Inhalation* - is a method of preventing and assisting in the treatment of many respiratory tract conditions, which involves inhaling a diluted brine (oil or medicine) sprayed as an aerosol. Inhalation of the aerosol moistens the airways, dilutes the mucus and allows easier expectoration and normalises the secretory function of the mucous membrane. It also boosts the immune forces of the mucous membranes. The use of inhalation is indicated for diseases of the upper and lower respiratory tract.
Phototherapy with the Sollux lamp - i.e. treatment by irradiation stimulates the body to function properly by stimulating metabolism, stimulating cell regeneration, improving blood circulation and strengthening the immune system. The use of the Sollux lamp is particularly recommended for wounds that are difficult to heal, sinusitis, bedsores, scars or facial nerve paralysis - in this case we use a red filter. For frostbite, psoriasis, sciatica or neuralgia.
